Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani throw gulaal at each other and set the dance floor ablaze in the music video of Birangay, the first song unveiled from their debut film Azaad.
Dropped by Zee Music Company on Thursday, the 3-minute-19-second-long video offers a glimpse of Aaman and Rasha’s crackling on-screen chemistry in the upcoming historical drama, which also stars Ajay Devgn.
While Rasha kills it in a white-and-yellow lehenga choli, Aaman steals the show in a white kurta. The video shows the two debutantes smearing gulaal on each other and lighting up the screen with their energetic moves.
Sung by Amit Trivedi and Meenal Jain with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the foot-tapping number is a perfect Holi anthem. The video of Birangay is choreographed by Bosco Leslie Martis.
A teaser released by the makers last month hinted that Azaad explores the deep bond between warriors and their horses. The one-minute-47-second-long teaser opens with a horse-borne Ajay facing off against his enemies while a voiceover narrates stories about Rajput king Maharana Pratap’s valour during the Battle of Haldighati.
The trailer also includes flashbacks depicting how Ajay’s character first bonded with his horse. Ajay’s nephew Aaman portrays a young warrior in the film. Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha stars as Aaman’s love interest.
Helmed by Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad is set to hit theatres on January 17, 2025.
