College student Ji An’s life turns upside down when her uncle dies by suicide, leaving her a shop with secrets in the teaser of Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming Korean thriller series A Shop For Killers starring Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Jun.
Dropped by the streamer on Tuesday, the short teaser introduces Jun’s Ji An, a young college student, who inherits a shop from his uncle that sells weapons both online and offline. The sudden inheritance makes her the target of crime syndicates and assassins. Flashbacks show the college student being prepared by his uncle for a time when he would not be able to protect her.
Providing a sneak peek at the villains who target Ji An after her uncle’s suicide, the video hints at the show’s sinister and gruesome theme. As she learns more about the shop, its transaction procedures and its secrets, the tension heightens.
A Shop For Killers has a star-studded cast, including Tale of the Nine-Tailed lead Dong Wook, Inspector Koo actress Hye Jun, Kim Hae Na, Seo Hyun Woo and Park Ji Bin in supporting roles.
Based on the novel The Killer’s Shopping List by Kang Ji Young and directed by Lee Kwon, The Shop For Killers is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar on January 17, 2024.
