Netflix has a slew of new as well as returning K-drama shows — including Squid Game Season 2, reality survival series Zombieverse, and romantic drama Captivating the King — lined up for 2024, the streamer announced on Tuesday.

According to Netflix, the returning shows include second seasons of the mystery drama Gyeongseong Creature, reality survival series Zombieverse and Physical 100, and fantasy series Hellbound.

“This year, our K-Content lineup delivers a diverse array of titles that capture the true essence of Korean storytellers,” Netflix’s Korean Content vice president Don Kang said in a statement.

Korean adaptations of popular webtoon series like A Killer Paradox and The 8 Show will also be available on the platform this year. Led by Choi Woo-shik, A Killer Paradox, slated to release on Netflix on February 9, revolves around an ordinary college student who accidentally kills a customer during his part-time job and becomes the focus of a relentless detective. However, he discovers he can identify criminals, raising questions about whether he's a godsent hero or an unpunished sinner.

Netflix also has a K-drama adaptation of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Japanese manga series Parasyte: The Maxim. Titled Parasyte: The Grey, the new drama is helmed by Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho and stars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan and Lee Jung-hyun.

Reality show Singles Inferno, which surprised viewers with its unexpected twists and turns, is returning for a fourth season, becoming the first Korean unscripted show to return for a fourth time. Other shows in this genre include The Influencer which pits influencers against each other and Agents of Mystery which shows six agents trying to solve a crime in real life.

Among original Korean films that are going to be added to Netflix this year are the drama My Name is Loh Kiwan, the action film Officer Black Belt, the disaster sci-fi The Great Flood and the recently released Badland Hunters which is a sequel to Concrete Utopia.

For romance enthusiasts, there are several dramas following the popular enemies-to-lovers trope. Set in an ancient time period, Captivating the King depicts a love story unfolding through a game of Go, while Queen of Tears, based in the modern time, sees the reunion of an estranged couple.

Other romantic shows include the medical drama Doctor Slump and Resident Playbook (WT), a spin-off to the popular K-drama Hospital Playlist. Gong-Yoo will star in a new romantic drama The Trunk.
