Searchlight Pictures Tuesday dropped a two-minute-long behind-the-scenes music video for A Complete Unknown, the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothée Chalamet. The video is set to Dylan’s iconic track Subterranean Homesick Blues and offers a glimpse into the making of the film.
The video also gives fans a first look at Chalamet’s immersive performance as Dylan, the cultural shifts of the 1960s, and the musical genius behind hits like The Times They Are A-Changin.
Written by Jay Cocks and James Mangold, A Complete Unknown is scheduled to hit theatres on December 25. The film, directed by Mangold, explores the rapid rise of the 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan in the vibrant New York City folk scene of the early 1960s.
The movie traces Dylan's journey from performing in small venues to becoming a global sensation, leading to his electrifying transformation at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
The film boasts an ensemble cast including Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Dan Fogler, Norbert Leo Butz, Eriko Hatsune, Big Bill Morganfield, Will Harrison and Scoot McNairy.
