The 79th Venice Film Festival that took place on the island Lido di Venezia, in Italy, concluded on September 10, after 11 days of film premieres and a lot of screenings. The stars put their best foot forward after two pandemic years sans glitz and glamour. Here are our top six best-dressed Hollywood celebrities who lit up the festival.
Jodie Turner Smith
Queen & Slim actress Jodie Turner Smith’s red carpet look was definitely the best of the lot. Her black chiffon, see-through Gucci gown, with a plunging neckline and vibrant green gloves, was perfect for the opening day of the 79th Venice Film Festival.
Her second outfit was even better. The British actress wore a custom Harbison studio gown with a plunging neckline and a sequined black-and-white chest band. She paired her gown with black satin gloves and Bvlgari accessories.
Timothee Chalamet
Hollywood’s millennial star Timothee Chalamet is still in the buzz for the gender-defying outfit he chose for the premiere of his film Bones and All. Timothee went for a bare-back halter-neck red blouse by Haider Ackerman and matching red pants. His Little Women co-star Florence Pugh commented on his outfit, “You. Are. Sensational.”
Florence Pugh
The will-she-won’t-she debate around Florence Pugh’s attendance at the Venice Film Festival was put to rest when she sashayed down the red carpet in a beautiful Valentino gown. The Don’t Worry Darling actress wore a sequined, sheer black gown with feathered high heels and a classic retro hairdo.
Gemma Chan
Gemma Chan’s first time at the Venice Film Festival was glamorous. The Eternals actress wore a custom Louis Vuitton glittery gown with a halter neckline. The length of her gown was decorated with flower embellishments and the actress tried a messy hairdo with simple stud earrings.
Tessa Thompson
Thor: Love and Thunder actress Tessa Thompson attended the 79th Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling and stole the show in a mint green Marc Jacobs gown with a shiny aluminum bodice and sky-high white heels.
Sadie Sink
Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink won hearts for her red carpet appearance at the Venice Film Festival. The young actress wore a powder blue Alexander McQueen tulle strapless gown with a cutaway waist and crystal harness embroidery for the screening of her film, The Whale. Sadie kept her red hair in soft beachy curls and went for a shimmery eye makeup.
