Deva Shree Ganesha

This song from Agneepath (2012) has been a regular on playlists for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations ever since the film was released. It’s composed by Ajay-Atul; the lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Featuring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, Deva Shree Ganesha is a prayer song that also hints at the imminent threats on Vijay’s (Hrithik) life in the film.

Mourya Re

Set in the backdrop of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, this song from the Farhan Akhtar-directed Don: The Chase Begins Again introduces the character of Vijay, played by Shah Rukh Khan, who happens to be Don’s doppelganger. Singer Shankar Mahadevan infuses energy into the song with his soulful rendition. With upbeat lyrics and groovy dance steps, Moruya Re is sure to fire up your playlist.

Sadda Dil Vi Tu

The Sadda Dil Vi Tu track from the dance film ABCD has had us hooked with its mix of hip hop beats and verses dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Composed by Sachin-Jigar and Hard Kaur, the Hindi and English lyrics are combined with super-energetic dance steps. This Remo D’Souza-directed film revolves around Vishnu, played by Prabhu Deva, who takes a group of street dancers under his wing and trains them to be the best in business.

Sindoor Lal Chadhayo

A classic when it comes to Ganesh Chaturthi, Sindoor Lal Chadhayo is from the Sanjay Dutt-starrer Vaastav: The Reality. It is a celebration of the omnipresent Ganesh in the lives of his devotees. With Ravinder Sathe on vocals, the song featuring Dutt and Namrata Shirodkar was composed by Jatin-Lalit.

Gajanana

While Priyanka Chopra’s Kashibai stole many hearts in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, it was this song that heightened the love triangle between her, Bajirao and Mastani. As Peshwa Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi, Mastani (Deepika Padukone) battles all threats against her and her son. An inspirational song rendered by Sukhwinder Singh, the music is by Shreyas Puranik.
