Stree 2 is a film I am waiting for as I was very intrigued by the first film. I wish to see what supernatural business Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are up to this time around. Singham Again is on my list as I am a fan of Rohit Shetty’s action films with their flying cars, terrific fight scenes and rose-tinted happy endings. (Pick three Holly and Bolly films you can’t wait to watch in 2024... January 1)

The Tiger’s Apprentice is an animated movie with a Chinese-American cast, comprising both Michelle Yeoh and Lucy Liu. Besides, every movie that has dealt with dragons, tigers and kung fu has been a chartbuster. Arthur the King is about Arthur the dog, who crosses a forest to meet his family and has Mark Wahlberg in the lead.

With the names Bong Joon-ho, Robert Pattinson and Mark Ruffalo and the fact that it is a sci-fi thriller has me sold. I can’t wait for Mickey 17. I found the story of IF exciting and interesting. I am a fan of John Krasinksi and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. I loved Joker and Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar-winning performance. I also loved Lady Gaga in A Star is Born. Their pairing is quite exciting in Joker: Folie à Deux.

I enjoy watching Vasan Bala’s films. They are usually quirky, fun and interesting and so I am looking forward to Jigra. Alia Bhatt rarely fails to amaze with her acting and Vedang Raina has impressed me with his performance in The Archies. I can’t wait to see both Alia and Vedang do their magic in this film. The fascinating storyline from the pages of history and Vicky Kaushal in the cast made me put Chhava on this list.

Rishika Dutta

As a big fan of monster movies, I have watched and loved the Godzilla prequels and hence, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is first on my must-watch list. The 2019 film Joker was fantastic, and Joaquin Phoenix’s performance left me in awe. So Joker: Folie a Deux: has earned a spot on this list. I am excited for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, an action-packed saga starring Chris Hemsworth, my favourite actor. Having enjoyed Tom Hardy’s Mad Max: Fury Road, I hope Furiosa lives up to my expectations.

Deadpool 3, Marvel Studios’ latest instalment of the Deadpool series, slated for release on July 26, has piqued my excitement. The buzz of Hugh Jackman’s potential return as Wolverine, alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, following their previous encounter in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, adds to my eagerness for this release. As a devoted fan of Jim Davis’ beloved happy, fat, lazy cat, I’m eagerly anticipating the new Garfield theatrical movie, The Garfield Movie. The promise of this fully animated film is bolstered by Chris Pratt’s voiceover of Garfield, Harvey Guillen’s take on Odie and the notable inclusion of Samuel L. Jackson as Vic, Garfield’s long-lost cat dad. The return of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker in Joker: Folie a Deux, Todd Phillips’ sequel to the Joker franchise, is the highlight of my watchlist. I am intrigued to see how Lady Gaga pulls off Harley Quinn and sets a new benchmark for this iconic role.

From the list, Deadpool 3 and Joker: Folie à Deux are the films I can’t wait to watch.
Deadpool 3, one of the most popular franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is all set to thrill its fans with an engaging story and mind-blowing action sequences. Ryan Reynolds as the ‘Merc with the Mouth’ is always delightful. Todd Phillips’ musical thriller Joker: Folie à Deux is the highlight of the year, featuring two of the most iconic characters of our generation, Joker and Harley Quinn, played by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga respectively. Keeping up with the excellence of Joker, this film promises to be equally entertaining and edgy.

Aayman Anwar Ali

I can’t wait to watch Singham Again for the ensemble cast and the entertainment. I am also hoping that Jigra will turn out to be as good as Darlings.

Sreya Chakraborty

I love animated movies. Being a big fan of Garfield, I can’t wait for The Garfield Movie. He looks awfully cute there. I also don’t want to miss Mufasa: The Lion King. I am dying to know what will happen to Mufasa’s cub after his father fought so hard for his rights. Harold and the Purple Crayon seems to have an interesting plot and that is also a movie I would love to see in the theatre.

I am looking forward to Don 3. I wonder what new crimes Don has got in store. I can’t wait for Jigra either. This is the first time we will see Alia Bhatt in an action film! If she can pull it off, it is going to be awesome. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is another film I want to watch in the theatre. I am keen to figure out what Manjulika will do this time.

A bunch of Hollywood movies that I would love to see in 2024 are Joker: Folie à Deux, IF and Mickey 17. Joker has been my favourite character throughout. A movie with excitement and philosophy. Next is IF which opens up a world of fantasy, ensconced in a character who goes on an imaginary journey. Everything is unreal, full of fantasy, phantasmagoria, a world that hinges on dreams and unreal friends. In Mickey 17, a space traveller sets off and discovers hidden treasures. The Bollywood list starts with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, a thriller. Yodha is another movie I want to watch.

Kousik Majumdar

The Hollywood movies I can’t wait to watch in 2024 are Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The Bollywood films I wish to see this year are Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Singham Again and Jigra.
