Occupation: Studying architecture (bachelors)at GITAM (Deemed to be) University

Place: Hyderabad

Constituency: Chevella

Will you vote?: Yes, this will be my first time voting in the general elections

What are the key issues that will determine your vote?: Improvement of public transport, sustainable infrastructure and planning, proper resource allocation, stricter environmental regulations, opportunity to exercise freedom of speech and criticism, continued effort to support the underprivileged, economically backwards, LGBTQ+, etc

Why would you vote: The right to vote and be given an equal opportunity to participate in the country’s decisions is a high privilege not enjoyed by most people throughout history. By not exercising this right, it undermines the efforts and struggles of those who made this possible. For a democracy to function at its optimum, which will accommodate everyone, every individual able to vote should vote

What the new govt should do: Allow equal opportunities to all in govt jobs, universities etc. Allocate proper funding and resources to the right sectors with transparency in information. Improve quality of infrastructure and roadways along with public transport. Stricter regulations for the environment

What the new govt shouldn’t do: Shouldn’t hinder freedom of speech and the right to criticise; waste money and hand out resources in an effort to woo voters; make
false promises that are never fulfilled
