Age: 21

Occupation: Bharatnatyam artiste and BCom student at Shyamaprasad College, Calcutta

Place: New Barrackpore, North 24-Parganas

Constituency: Dum Dum

What are the key issues that will determine your vote?

The govt should increase funding for higher education. Students are compelled to seek admission in private institutions due to the lack of govt colleges or university seats

What the new govt should do?

People are afraid to speak on different issues, and the govt should ensure citizens have freedom of speech. I have seen my seniors, even after completing their education, failing to secure jobs — the problem of unemployment should be looked into

What the new govt shouldn’t do?

As I’ve grown up, I’ve noticed increasing division among people of different religions and castes. I want to see a government that speaks for unity in diversity

Dum Dum votes on June 1
