Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge has termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “jhoota ka sardar” (leader of liars) and claimed that after tremendous voting in favour of the INDIA bloc in the fourth phase, it is impossible for the return of Modi regime.

Addressing a rally in Latehar coming under the Chatra Lok Sabha seat of Jharkhand for Congress leader and INDIA bloc- backed candidate K.N. Tripathy, Kharge said: “This election has exposed publicly the lies of Narendra Modi. I have been calling him both in Parliament and outside as jhooto ka sardar. The speeches made by Narendra Modi out of desperation have completely exposed his lies before the masses and it is the public who decided to teach the BJP a lesson this time.”

He further said that with the tremendous support in favour of the INDIA bloc as evident with the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha polls, “It is impossible for the Modi regime to return.”

Chatra where Tripathy is pitted against BJP’s Kalicharan Singh will vote on May 20.

“One cannot think that a Prime Minister can tell such lies during election rallies, stating that Congress will take away mangalsutras, and distribute wealth among Muslims. Congress was in power for more than five decades. Did it even ever think on these lines,” said Kharge.

Kharge also called this election a battle of ideologies.

“This election is a battle of ideologies. On one side there is a dictator who is a weapon of the RSS which wants to make the rich more rich and the poor more poor. Their (read BJP) MPs and MLAs openly claim to change the constitution after coming to power. If the Prime Minister is against changing the constitution, then what action has he taken against such leaders of his party? It is for you to choose between those who have been and will continue to safeguard the constitution and believe in democracy and those who have other intentions and believe in dictatorship,” said Kharge.
