Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday hit out at Union home minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath for their remarks against him and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at rallies in Delhi on Monday.

Taking on Shah, Kejriwal said: “I want to ask him that the people of Delhi have formed the government by giving us 62 seats, 56 per cent vote share, are the people of Delhi Pakistanis? The people of Punjab have formed the government by giving us 92 out of 117 seats, are the people of Punjab Pakistanis? The people of Gujarat gave us 14 per cent votes, are the people of Gujarat also Pakistanis?”

He added: “Modiji has chosen you as his successor, but the public will elect an INDIA bloc government on June 4. So control your ego a little…. Your enmity is with me, you can abuse me. But if you abuse the people of the country, then no one is going to tolerate it.”

PTI quoted Shah as saying in South Delhi on Monday: “Kejriwal and Rahul have no support in India, their supporters are in Pakistan.”

On Adityanath, Kejriwal added: “I want to politely tell him that your real enemies are in your party. After the elections, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have made a plan to remove you from the post of chief minister, you deal with them.”
