A healthy and vibrant skin is everyone’s dream. Even men deep down wish to have a glowing skin. Amongst the many benefits attributed to turmeric, probably the most important spice in Indian dishes, is its power to boost immunity. It also has a brightening effect on the skin.
The following are some of the benefits of turmeric on your skin.
- Anti-inflammatory: It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial benefits. It helps reduce blemishes and calms skin conditions like eczema and rosacea.
- Fights off acne: Turmeric is excellent for acne because it is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep bacteria from spreading.
- Reduces dark circles: It stimulates circulation which can help reduce puffiness and under-eye darkness caused by poor circulation.
- Protects against sun-damage and ageing: A moisturising cream containing turmeric has the ability to improve fine lines and brown spots caused by sun-damage. Turmeric also helps prevent loss of skin elasticity due to longterm UV exposure.
- Reduces appearance of stretch marks: Turmeric has the antioxidative power to penetrate and improve the function of the skin membrane cells and prevent and treat stretch marks.
- Soothes dry skin: Turmeric can deeply hydrate and revitalise skin while alleviating symptoms of dryness.
