1 Riya looked dewy fresh in this floral crepe outfit. “To infuse drama, we have created Juliet sleeves and paired it with velvet flared sequinned pants to give it an elegant and feminine look. The use of muted shades like pink and grey and velvet for the pants set a beautiful winter tone,” said Tanya Jaiswal, founder-designer, July, which is located on Ballygunge Circular Road. Riya picked this for a brunch. “Prints look pretty nice during the day and if the cuts are flowy then that makes it more fun,” she said.

2. The subdued sheen came alive in the muted tones and gold embroidery. “It’s a more subtle look with just the right amount of feminine styles like a plunging neckline and delicate floral-embroidered shoulders, fluid pants and dramatic sleeves to make it all work for that diva look,” said Tanya.

3. Elegance and drama came together in this July Suitables’ jacquard blazer and trouser set. “Here the black-and-gold brocade adds a sense of oomph making them ‘suitable’ for any social occasion like a cocktail or a Sangeet,” said Tanya. Riya said she loved a pantsuit combination for a party. “I think it’s quite different and if one can get their hands on a nicely designed feminine suit, like the brocade one here, you’re all set for a great night out,” said the pretty actress who swears by comfortable clothing as her all-time party faves.

4. Sober charm defined this wing-embroidered shirt. “It is slightly edgy, making it a statement piece. That’s why we’ve paired it with a solid grey drape skirt, to keep the look bold yet feminine,” said Tanya. This was Riya’s choice for a night-out with her girlfriends. “I would always choose something that doesn’t get in the way of dancing or partying, like this grey skirt with the blue top,” said Riya, who picked dad Bharat Dev Varma as the best party host among the Sens.

4. This royal emerald green drape tunic was all about minimal glam. “This has a distinct character and colour. We wanted a boho-chic look so that the outfit would feel formal yet relaxed. The black velvet sequinned pants add the little bling needed for the party season,” said Tanya. Riya loved this one for a sundowner. “That’s a tricky one as you see... a bit of the day and it follows into the night. I would choose something like this emerald green outfit. The colour would stand out at dusk, and then at night the relaxed silhouette would leave an impression,” smiled Riya who picked Los Angeles, Paris and London as her favourite party destinations.

The tube pantsuit was statement chic. “We had recently launched a collection of stylish and glamorous pantsuits called July Suitables. I enjoyed designing this classic and bold look, because I think it’s something Indian women will really enjoy and look great in at any occasion. It’s perfect for a formal/dressy look and very flattering on most body types,” said Tanya.
