Multi-brand fashion retail store, The Collective, has now opened its second outlet on the ground floor of South City Mall. Spread across 3,200sq ft and done up with simple and chic aesthetics, it has launched with its winter collection of apparels and accessories for the luxury fashion enthusiasts in the city. Think bomber jackets to hoodies and sweatshirts.
With more than 50 brands under one roof, including the likes of Polo Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld, Ted Baker, Hugo and Love Moschino, The Collective is ‘India’s first and largest luxury multi-brand retail concept store’.
Their variety includes formal and semi-formal wear as well as casual, denim and active wear. Accessories like fashion watches, cufflinks, shoes, ties, belts, leather products, jewellery, and sunglasses are also a part of The Collective.
“Calcutta has shown immense promise since we launched our first store. The luxury shopper in the city has appreciated the curated selection of the best of international fashion, excellent customer service and style advice that also keeps them coming back to The Collective. We witnessed growing demand from the city and were sure that this is the right time to expand our presence with another store,” said Amit Pande, brand head, The Collective & International Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd.
Actor and MP Nussrat Jahan and actor Gaurav Chakrabarty dropped by for the launch and tried on a few styles from the store, exclusively for The Telegraph.

“I’m so glad that The Collective opened at this part of the city because people who live in this area would take a lot of time to travel all the way to Quest. It is amazing how they have all the high-end brands under one roof,” she said. Her favourites? “The sweatshirts! The way you see me, that’s not actually how I am. I like to move around in my pyjamas and sweatshirts more often. So that’s what has caught my eye,” smiled the pretty actor.
Gaurav donned a casual look and a semi-formal look, both classics. “I’ve been buying from them for a while now as they were available online. I’m very glad that they’ve opened a store here in south Calcutta. It is fantastic and they always have a great collection,” he smiled.
