Masaba Gupta has launched a clothing line called ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’ featuring clothes with detachable bags that come with the garment. It is a part of a United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) India and Ogilvy India campaign on doing away with single-use plastic. The collection will be available in stores and online. Each garment has as an interesting accessory, a detachable reusable bag that is matched with the garment.
“This is not just a collaboration, it’s a war cry. This is House of Masaba’s way of giving back to the environment. It’s the need of the hour and we are taking that conscious step towards sustainability, because the global environmental crisis is all too visible now,” Gupta was quoted as saying by a news agency.
