Q. Hi! I am a 32-year-old woman and extremely fond of wearing high heels. As my boyfriend and I are of the same height, it makes me look much taller than him. He doesn’t approve of this at all. I don’t understand why this should affect him so much. It doesn’t demean him in any way. I don’t want to give up on my heels but I don’t want to hurt his feelings either. Is there any way he can look taller?
A: A spiky pompadour will raise him to your level. The Johnny Bravo look. Or he can invest in high heel western boots. Or you walk by his side with your knees bent? He loves you, right? Then he has to love you whole, as you are, with heels or without.
Q. I have been dating a girl online for a few months now. I enjoy chatting with her. However, one thing puts me off. We usually chat at night and she is always in her nightie and looking frumpy. She doesn’t pay much attention to the way she looks whereas I am quite particular with my clothes. How do I tell her?
A: Well, if she always shows up in her nightwear, she is fantasy material for many. Are you sure you are not ok with it? In denial? Kim Kardashian probably wears boxers to bed. But you say your problem is the frump. Does this girl always appear in her nightwear? If not, meet her at some other time of the day. Drop hints. If they don’t work, turn up in a shabby nightie yourself.
Q. I am planning to wear a backless choli at a wedding soon. Is there a way to clean my back properly? I find it very difficult to do it alone and there is no one to help me as I am a single woman living alone.
A: Several asanas help you to take your hands behind your back. Practise them and then perform them using a loofah. Try not to visualise yourself doing it. Just remember that wearing a backless choli requires hard work.
