Many are afraid to use coconut oil in winter. But if you do not catch a cold from it, please feel free to go ahead, because coconut oil is one of the best hydrators.
Here’s why:
1. On hair
Due to cold weather hair becomes dehydrated. To restore the moisture back into hair, apply coconut oil generously. Leave it overnight if the scalp is too dry or for two hours before hair wash. You can use the hot towel treatment for better penetration of the oil.
2. Better than any body lotion
Winter calls for extra care towards our body. Coconut oil is the best body lotion. After a shower just apply virgin coconut oil on your body. Massage gently. This is superlight, easily absorbed and chemical-free. You can do it before bedtime.
3. For dry and chapped lips
Look no further than coconut oil. Every night before going to bed apply it on your lips and it will not only exfoliate the dry skin on lip but repair it also.
4. Dry feet and dry hand
We take care of our entire body but we always forget to take care of our hands and feet which take care of us. Pamper them by moisturising them well with coconut oil before going to bed. Coconut oil will not only repair our cuticles but also help good nail growth.
5. Best massage cream for skin
Just warm the oil a little, massage it into your face and notice the difference in softness and suppleness of the skin. Leave it on for half-an-hour, apply face pack over it and wash with regular or lukewarm water. See the difference. Coconut oil is a wonderful gift from nature.
