Diwali, the festival of lights, love and happiness. Let’s celebrate this sparkling day with some self-care rituals as well.

• First, have a good amount of water to hydrate yourself in the morning.

• Go for a soothing face mask. Mix one tablespoon of besan with raw milk. Apply the mix on your face and neck. After it dries, gently remove it with cold water to get a fresh and clean look. Apply a good amount of moisturising cream. The canvas on which evening make-up will be applied is ready!

• Apply lip balm. Hydrate your lips the most you can.

• Let your skin add to the glow of the evening. A dab of liquid foundation on moisturised skin looks superb. Use a concealer minimally.

• Slay it with bold lip colours if you are a lips person.

• If you are eye person, you must use coloured kajal. Go for those dark greens and intense blues. Use them as tight liners or smudge them. Play them.

• Dear monochrome people, the classic look for you who love to match every shade and every tone are peach pinks and nudes.

But this is Diwali. Add some drama. Give your lashes a thick coat of mascara, or use a graphic liner to add that wow factor to your eyes.

If you are not at all a make-up person, moisturiser, lip balm and a little kajal will work wonders.

Be happy. Be safe. Happy Diwali. Follow all Covid rules if you are going out.
