The Indian Institute of Hospitality and Management conducted its annual event IIHM Teachers’ Day Awards at Hyatt Regency Kolkata last month to honour educationists from across the city on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The event began with a talk show hosted by Suborno Bose, founder and chief mentor, IIHM, and Paul Walsh, founder of Jungle Crows Foundation. Post that, educationists and educational institutes were recognised at the award ceremony for their valuable contribuition in the field of education, following which all the guests were treated to a lavish dinner spread.

“The IIHM Teachers Awards 2022 was extremely special. It has taken place offline after two long years due to Covid. This year, over 120 schools have nominated their teachers to be awarded. The lifetime achievement award was a new category we launched this year, which was awarded to Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan. Individuals such as Father Dominic Savio and organisations such as The British Council, Alliance Francaise du Bengale and The Telegraph Education Foundation, have greatly contributed to this year’s ceremony, which was truly an iconic one,” said Suborno Bose.
