It’s always a good time for music and with a post-pandemic revival of our normal lives, the musicians are back on track with old and new bands alike frequenting gig pads and making weekly concerts a norm for netizens. Amidst so many we’ve come across a relatively new band called Pickled Peppers. Pickled Peppers was started in 2018 by Ivan Jordan and Guy Guzman. Ivan and Guy have played together since 2012 in different bands: first with Melting Point then with Reflections and finally with Stairwayz before forming their own band in 2018. Guy and the current bass player, Nigel Vincent, have collaborated in the past in a band called Slyde. Deep friendships and long-standing artistic collaborations run at the roots of this band.
Pickled Peppers covers a popular range of English songs from the 1960’s to current times and have performed at number of venues such as Calcutta Rowing Club, Durgapur Club, Calcutta Rangers Club, Hard Rock Café, among others. A cover band in general, Pickled Peppers is soon going to be seen at AMPM Kolkata on Park Street this month (June 13) as band members, Kepler Williams (vocalist), Amberleen Pereira (vocalist), Marc Manuel (on keys and vocals), Ivan Jordan (drummer), Nigel Vincent (bassist) and Guy Guzman (guitarist and vocalist) will bring to the audience covers of retro and new age music.

“We don’t concentrate on flashy guitar solos. Our main strength is groovy rhythm and good harmony. We’re planning to do play retro and new-age music at the venue on June 13. We usually do covers of rock, pop, pop rock from the 1960s to current times,” said the bandmates.
