Anupam Chatterjee who designed the gowns of the models helps one of them backstage. He said, “I’m so grateful to be a part of this wonderful platform. I know each and every contestant personally as I have designed their attires since the cluster audition rounds. The idea of the gowns for the semi-final round was to be more sophisticated with a European touch. The gowns have a lot of drapes and a simple neckline in five colours after discussing the colour story with Nayanika. They all looked so beautiful in the gowns and diamond jewellery. I wish them a successful future ahead and all the very best for the final.”
Mentor Nayanika Chatterjee shared a few important pointers with the contestants which boosted their energy before going up on the stag
The contestants walked the ramp in beautiful gowns with a lot of drapes in five colours, including cherry red, turquoise, onion pink, olive green and black, which were paired with elegant diamond jewellery.
Actor Darshana Banik, one of the judges, said: “First of all, I felt very emotional coming back here and extremely pleased as I started my journey from this very platform. I always feel at home whenever I come back as a judge to the P.C. Chandra Goldlites Diva. This year I think the contestants are very pretty and confident. They looked very stylish and lovely on the ramp. I would suggest the finalists not be tense and enjoy the process and I wish them all the luck.”
Supermodel and grooming expert Nayanika Chatterjee said: “I’m as excited as every year because for me training and grooming is very exciting and I love doing it. I love the fact that the new contestants, new girls enter the fashion industry and get a chance to live their dreams. A lot of the girls this year are already groomed and there’s a lot they know already, which is a very nice thing. I want them to be the best versions of themselves because the competition is with themselves and not with others. I wish them all the best for the finals.”
