Karu presents Gauda in association with The Telegraph, is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Bengal. Art, fashion, culture, knowledge and more is on the cards at this engaging three-day exhibition. “At Karu, we create objects and artefacts that draw from the timeless symbols and stories of India. Gauda is our interpretation of the forms of classical Bengal through accessories and sculpture that speak of a thriving land that once inspired people as far away as Tibet and Burma. We hope to develop and create a sustainable system that helps our artisans learn a nearly lost design language of Eastern India,” said Ishan Pattanaik, founder and creative head, Karu.
