The Saturday Club hosted the annual Sargi Meet — Band Baaja Baarat, in association with The Telegraph on October 12 at the Wood Street address, a day before Karva Chauth, for the women members of the club and newly- married women. Around 250 ladies, dressed in red traditional styles dropped in to celebrate. The entire club was decorated festive style. Live music and dance performances added to the entertainment quotient of the evening. A mehndi corner, a phuchka stall and other food counters were added attractions. There were prizes to be won too. The ladies also went home with special sargi gifts which included all the items which required for Karva Chauth.
“We host this meet every year, and today we are hosting the Sargi Meet after two years. We are very grateful for the number of people who arrive for this meet with so much energy and have fun,” said Rahul Johri, president, The Saturday Club

The evening opened with dance performances that saw a group of dancers performing to tracks like Band Baaja Baaraat, Gallan goodiyaan and Tu laung main elaachi.

Singer Priyanka Roy sang hit tracks like Chogada, Saami saami, Sadher lau and Dilliwali girlfriend.
Diksha Arora won the award for Best Mehndi.
We spotted new bride Preeti Charaspahari adorning her hands with mehndi ahead of Karva Chauth.
“I’m so surprised that I won the best dress award because, there are so many women who wore beautiful traditional clothes. I’m so happy and grateful!” said Amrita Bahrunani.
