Loafer’s Cafe owned by the Ambuja Neotia group has recently opened doors to its second outlet in City Centre Salt Lake. Along with well-liked food and beverages from their first outlet in Raajkutir, there will also be new kinds of pastries, cakes, and spreads exclusive to the new outlet.

The 32-seater is spread over an approximate 700sq ft and is bringing to old and new customers alike a refreshing look that channels an understated and elegant vibe of a cosy patisserie filled with the aroma of freshly-baked scones, tarts, bagels, muffins, tea cakes, artisanal loaves of bread and much more as guests enjoy a hearty Victorian-style high tea with their choice of beverage.

Apart from the baked goods, customers can also dig into savoury items like their Detroit-style pizzas, cheesy pasta, sandwiches, extensive mixed grill platters and more. “In Loafer’s Cafe Salt Lake we have also introduced Large Plates for the first time.We also make cookies, gluten-free bread, other normal loaves of bread like focaccia, chilli garlic bread and french baguettes besides our existing bestselling items,” said Sumanta Chakraborty, corporate chef, Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.

Additionally, the cafe has introduced its range of Cold Brew Coffees that are pre-made and brewed in-house and stored in delicate bottles for later consumption, as well as Coffee Art which customers can customise to suit their varying fancies.

“Looking at the popularity and the different food concepts we were coming up with, it clicked that we should open another outlet in the Salt Lake area because a lot of our guests come from Salt Lake, Phoolbagan, and Kankurgachi. So we thought that City Centre would be the best place to open another outlet with the same concept,” said Rakesh Ranjan, business head and general manager, Raajkutir Boutique Hotel.
