Amidst these powercut nights and sunny days, a friend recommended that I try A Good Girl’s Guide to the Murder by Holly Jackson. So, this summer I thought to try out this book which unfolds a lot of mystery in every chapter. I literally enjoyed this book a lot. Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is what I started my summer vacation with. I have put a lot of books on my summer reading list but they (almost) do not include the typical romance books. I am currently reading this young adult tear jerker Five Feet Apart. A book I am reading this summer is the novel No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy. The novel has philosophical musings on the nature of violence and morality. McCarthy writes concisely, not really developing characters outside of observing their actions and dialogue, and intersperses conversations with lengthy philosophical monologues.
