‘Amra Korbo Joy’: ICCR to host Akashvani initiative on July 30

“Amra Korbo Joy”, an initiative of Akashvani Kolkata, will be staged on July 30 at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) from 5pm onwards.

Celebrating India’s presidency of the G20 group of nations and women empowerment, a welcome address will be delivered by Shri Rajiv Bhattacharya, Zonal Head- CO, East Zone, Akashvani and Doordarshan, followed by a panel discussion on ‘Empowered women, empowered G20’ (Swayangsampurna Nari, shaktishali G20). Also present will be Dr. Dhriti Bandopadhyay, director, Zoological Survey of India, Keya Seth, Managing Director, Keya Seth Group of Companies, Prof. (Dr.) Mahua Das, Vice-Chancellor, West Bengal State University and Shanti Das Basak, Additional Police Superintendent, West Bengal Human Rights Commission as the panelists.

Musical performance:

A musical performance by Smt. Chandrabali Rudra Dutta will be based on women empowerment and patriotism. It will be followed by a performance by eminent elocutionist Smt. Bratati Bandopadhyay, her recital will be an ode to womanhood and women power.
