Wipro on Friday posted a 4 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022 at Rs 3,092 crore compared with Rs 2,974 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations for the fourth quarter stood at Rs 20,860 crore, an increase of 28 per cent compared with Rs 16,245 crore in the year-ago period. For the full year 2021-22, the company’s revenues stood at Rs 79,093 crore compared with Rs 61,943 crore in 2020-21.
Revenue from IT services was $2,721.7 million during the fourth quarter and Wipro expects revenue to be in the range of $2,748 million to $2,803 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2022.
This translates to a sequential growth of 1-3 per cent.
Wipro’s closing strength for employees for IT services was at 243,128, an increase of 45,416 employees on a year on year basis.
Thierry Delaporte, CEO and managing director, Wipro said, “This is our sixth straight quarter of strong revenue growth at or over 3 per cent. We are excited with the addition of Rizing and the CAS Group to Wipro’s service offerings. With all markets, sectors and global business lines now growing in double-digits year on year, we have a strong foundation for next year’s growth.”
Jatin Dalal, chief financial officer said, “Our efforts on client mining have resulted in an addition of eight customers in more than $100 million bucket on year-on-year basis.”
