Two high-voltage mobile JVs Harley and BMW on fast track, celebrate separate milestones

Two high-voltage mobike JVs are celebrating separate milestones.

Hero-Harley is set to commence deliveries of its first co-developed premium bike Harley-Davidson X440 from October 15, while TVS will roll out 150000th unit of BMW Motorrad's 310cc series of bikes.

Hero MotoCorp said the baby Hurley has received 25,000 bookings, with the top-spec S making up 65 per cent. The bike is available in three variants: Denim, Vivid and S in prices ranging from Rs 2.39 lakh to Rs 2.79 lakh.

"While the production is in full swing at our Neemrana facility, huge number of our pre-booked customers have availed the opportunity to test ride the motorcycle. We are all geared up to add a lot of festive cheer by commencing deliveries of the X440," Niranjan Gupta, CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said.

Meanwhile TVS chief executive K.N. Radhakrishnan rolled out Motorrad 310cc series bike number 150,000 from the Hosur facility.

"Through our collaborative efforts we've achieved five products in the 310cc series. We have started the production of our first jointly designed, developed and industrialized EV, the BMW CE 02," Radhakrishnan said.

Markus Schramm, head of BMW Motorrad, said: “The extension of our partnership towards sustainable mobility solutions is therefore a consistent step to also shape the future together with TVS Motor.”
