The board of directors of Titagarh Wagons has appointed Prithish Chowdhary as a whole-time director of the company, effective from August 13.
He has been designated director (marketing & business development). Chowdhary, son of vice-chairman and managing director Umesh Chowdhary, was inducted into the board of Titagarh Wagons as a non-executive director from January 1, 2021.
His elevation as a wholetime director comes at a time the company has witnessed rapid growth and built up a strong order book across business verticals.
The company on Wednesday said the growth has prompted the need to have a whole-time director.
“Prithish brings innovative and youthful ideas to the table. I can say with confidence that under the guidance of the esteemed members of the board and by working together with his father, he will play a very important role in the group’s future,” said Manoj Mohanka, independent director and chairman of the nomination and remuneration committee, Titagarh Wagons.
