Tata Power to charge MG electric cars

These superfast 50KW DC machines will also be accessible to other EV owners whose automobiles are compatible with the equipment standards

Tata Power on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with MG Motor India, a subsidiary of SAIC, to set up superfast chargers for electric vehicles (EV) at select MG dealerships.

Tata Power will deploy 50KW DC Superfast chargers at these locations and offer end-to-end EV charging solutions to MG dealerships across the country.

Through this association, MG Motor aims to lay a specific focus on the key target cities they will be foraying into as a part of their future EV expansion plans.

These superfast 50KW DC chargers will be accessible by both MG customers as well as other electric vehicle owners whose automobiles are compatible with the charging standards.

Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power Company Limited, said, “We will provide end-to-end EV charging to MG Motor as also work on second life of battery usage in future.”
