Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, on Thursday launched the facelifted Nexon.ev. The company has sold 1,04,000 EVs till date with the Nexon EV selling 53,000 units, Tiago EV, 30,000 units, the Tigor EV 10,000 units and the Express T fleet model selling 20,000 units.
The company states it has a 70 per cent market share in the four-wheeler EV space.
“Nexon EV is the product that put India on the electrification journey,” claimed Vivek Srivats, head, marketing, sales and service strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, in a telephone interaction with The Telegraph.
Talking about the popularity of a costlier SUV bodystyle in the EV space, Srivats said: “Indian consumers are value seekers than price seekers now, very clearly. Customers don’t just look at the price but also the value package.”
