Tata Motors has announced a “marginal price increase” across its passenger vehicles.
The company said effective November 7, the price of its passenger vehicles will increase by a weighted average of 0.9 per cent, depending on the variant and model.
The company has been absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs of production but the steep rise in overall input costs has compelled it to pass on some proportion to its customers through this minimal price hike, a statement said.
Tata Motors is the only original equipment manufacturer to announce a price hike right after the festive season.
