Srei charts Rs 20,000cr cash course

The company disbursed Rs 3,191 crore in the first six months of 2018-19 against Rs 2,107 crore in the year-ago period

Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd has outlined plans to issue securities worth Rs 20,000 crore in 2019-20. This includes funds to be raised through both non-convertible debentures and commercial papers.

The securities include public issue of redeemable NCDs aggregating Rs 5,000 crore and private placement of redeemable NCDs worth Rs 5,000 crore and commercial papers of up to Rs 10,000 crore.

In a communication to the bourses, the company said a board meeting had been scheduled for February 4, 2019.

As of September 2018, NCDs and commercial papers constituted around 19.2 per cent and 4.9 per cent, respectively, of the source of funds for Srei Infrastructure Finance. Domestic borrowing from banks accounted for around 70.6 per cent.

Srei Infrastructure Finance saw a disbursement of Rs 3,191 crore in the first six months of 2018-19 against Rs 2,107 crore in the year-ago period.

Srei recently announced a composite scheme of arrangement and amalgamation that allows listing of the equipment finance business.
