Some users of the State Bank of India (SBI) server was reported to be down across the country since Monday morning. Several services of the country’s largest bank, including net banking, UPI, YONO app, were reported to be down since morning, according to media reports.
SBI Customers across the country took to their social media profiles to complain about facing issues in logging in the internet banking and mobile application of the bank. Sources said that the bank's internet services have remained down since March 30, 2023.
Many customers today complained that their credit card payments, money transfers and other online services of the SBI were delayed or failed due to the outage.
According to internet outage tracker Downdetector, SBI servers are were down since 9.19 am, April 3. The website also reported a similar outage complaint with the bank’s server yesterday i.e. April 2, 2023.
Responding to the users’ complaints, the SBI said due to the annual closing activities of the bank, the online services were down. “We understand your concern. After the annual closing activities, the services of INB / Yono / Yono Lite / Yono Business / UPI are available from 4.30 PM onwards. Customers may make use of these services,” the SBI said in a tweet on Sunday.
