SBI Mutual Fund to invest Rs 410 crore in Nazara Technologies

Funds will be invested via three schemes of SBI Mutual Fund namely SBI Multicap Fund, SBI Magnum Global Fund and SBI Technology Opportunities Fund

Just two days after it received a Rs 100 crore cheque from the Kamaths of Zerodha, Nazara Technologies (Nazara), the diversified gaming and sports media platform, on Thursday said SBI Mutual Fund will be investing Rs 410 crore in the company by subscribing to a preferential issue.

Nazara said in a regualtory filing that it will issue 57,42,296 shares at Rs 714 apiece aggregating to nearly Rs 410 crore to SBI Mutual Fund, by way of preferential issue on private placement basis.

The funds will be invested via three schemes of SBI Mutual Fund namely SBI Multicap Fund, SBI Magnum Global Fund and SBI Technology Opportunities Fund. SBI Mutual Fund is the country’s largest mutual fund.

The company added that this issuance is being made in addition to the 14,00,560 shares that was approved by its board on September 4. Nazara has thus jointly mobilised Rs 510 crore.
