Samhi Hotels on Friday made a good debut on the stock markets as it closed with gains of nearly 16 per cent on the NSE.
Samhi Hotels had mobilised Rs 1,370.10 crore from the public issue out of which Rs 1,200 crore was from fresh issue of shares and residual amount of over Rs 170 crore from offer for sale.
Investors had to apply for 119 equity shares and in multiples of 119 equity shares thereafter.
On the BSE, the counter opened at Rs 130.55, a rise of over 3 per cent from the issue price. However, it built upon the gains and closed at Rs 143.55, an increase of 14 per cent over the IPO price.
On the NSE, it debuted at Rs 134.50 and closed at Rs 146 — a rise of 15.87 per cent.
