Reliance Jio on Saturday said it will launch 5G-enabled wi-fi service in high footfall areas such as educational institutes, religious places, railway stations, bus stands and commercial hubs.
The company has launched this service at the temple town of Nathdwara in Rajasthan, which will expanded to other public places.
Jio has also started rolling out 5G services in Nathdwara and Chennai and as part of this process, it extended the Jio Welcome offer to these cities. Under the offer, customers with invitation only will get access to 5G service during the beta trial. Jio had commenced beta trials in Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi and Calcutta.
