Reliance Jio on Thursday said its 5G services are now available on various iPhone models.
The iPhone models which will get its ‘True 5G’ service are the iPhone 12 series, the iPhone 13 and 14 series, and iPhone SE 2022 (third generation).
To avail of the service, users need to ensure that their device is running on iOS version 16.2 or upgrade it to this version and subsequently turn on 5G from settings and then turn on 5G auto as well as standalone.
On Wednesday, Jio began its 5G services in Madhya Pradesh. The services are now available at Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Calcutta, Varanasi, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune.
Meanwhile, in a separate announcement, Reliance Consumer Products Ltd, the FMCG arm and a fully owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), launched its indigenous madefor-India consumer packaged goods brand — INDEPENDENCE — in Gujarat.
The brand offers a wide range of products under several categories, including staples, processed foods and other daily essentials.
“I am happy to announce the launch of our own FMCG brand which brings a wide choice of high-quality and affordable products, including edible oils, pulses, grains, packaged foods and other daily need products,” Isha Ambani, director, Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd, said.
