Rahul Bhatia-led InterGlobe Enterprises and technology veteran C.P. Gurnani’s Assago are forming AIonOS, a joint venture targeting the $150 billion digital transformation market with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.

AIonOS aims to empower businesses to accelerate their digital transformation by integrating AI into their operations, the companies said in a joint statement.

The venture will use artificial intelligence to assist firms in decision-making through a SaaS platform in the travel, transportation, logistics, and hospitality sector.

Bhatia, group managing director of InterGlobe Enterprises, highlighted the company’s experience across travel, hospitality and logistics as a key advantage for AIonOS.

“We straddle different businesses and, therefore, we think we have the institutional knowledge of the limitations of each of these specific industries... we believe the unique proposition that we bring to this joint venture is understanding the limitations,” Bhatia said.

The Singapore-based joint venture, with InterGlobe holding a majority stake, will offer a range of AI solutions. These include custom development, industry-specific products, and data analysis tools.

Gurnani, former Tech Mahindra CEO and Assago chairman, said collaboration is key for AIonOS. He will be the executive vice-chairman of AIonOS.

Gurnani said: “We are building SaaS solutions that integrate seamlessly into the fabric of industries such as travel, transport, logistics and hospitality.
