NTPC on Saturday reported a standalone net profit of ₹4,510.98 crore for the quarter ended June 30, up 11 per cent year-on-year, while revenue from operations went up to ₹44,419.22 crore in the same period.
Revenue from operations was up 13.5 per cent from ₹39,122.25 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income also rose 13.5 per cent to ₹45,053.04 crore while total expenses were recorded at ₹38,276.03 crore. The total expenses increased by ₹4,748 crore on a YoY basis.
Standalone installed capacity increased by 2,130 MW, going up to 76,048 MW as of June 2024 against 73,024 MW in June 2023.
REC net up 16.5%
State-owned REC on Saturday posted a 16.57 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to ₹3,460.19 crore for the June quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. In the year-ago period, its net profit stood at ₹2,968.05 crore.
Total income rose to ₹13,092.44 crore from ₹11,108.16 crore a year ago. Expenses stood at ₹8,743.22 crore against ₹7,386.99 crore a year ago.
The board of directors also approved an interim dividend of ₹3.50 per equity share of ₹10 each for FY2024-25.
