State-run power giant NTPC has reported an over 7 per cent dip in its consolidated net profit at Rs3,417.67 crore for the September quarter, mainly due to higher expenses.
Consolidated net profit stood at Rs 3,690.95 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income rose toRs 44,681.50 crore from Rs33,095.67 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses jumped to Rs 40,000.99 crore from Rs28,949.53 crore a year ago.
On a standalone basis, total income for the first half of FY23 is Rs 82,536.63 crore against Rs 58,153.09 crore a year ago, a jump of 41.93per cent. PAT for H1 FY23 is Rs 7,048.16 crore against Rs6,417.66 crore in H1 FY22, an increase of 9.82 per cent.
On a consolidated basis, total income for H1 FY23 is Rs 88,242.22 crore against Rs63,486.27 crore in H1 FY22, an increase of 39 per cent. PAT for H1 FY23 is Rs 7,395.44 crore against Rs 7,134.67 crore a year ago, a rise of 3.65 per cent.
