MRF Ltd on Tuesday reported a 32 per cent fall in its standalone net profit for the September quarter on higher input costs.
The tyre major posted a net profit of Rs 123.99 crore against Rs 183.38 crore in the same period a year ago.
The dip in its profits came even as revenues increased to Rs 5,719 crore from Rs 4,831.65 crore in the year-ago period.
The rise in raw material costs to Rs 4,113 crore from Rs 3,805 crore hit margins.
MRF’s board of directors has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 3 per share.
The board has also approved raising the size of its proposed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) through private placement to Rs 150 crore from Rs 100 crore. This proposal was approved earlier by its board on August 9.
Godrej Consumer
Godrej Consumer Products on Tuesday reported a decline of 25.06 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 358.86 crore for the second quarter ended September. It had posted a net profit of Rs 478.89 crore a year ago, GCPL said in a regulatory filing.
Revenue from sale of products of the Godrej group’s FMCG arm was up 7 per cent at Rs 3,364.45 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 3,143.61 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Bosch reports flat net
Auto component major Bosch on Tuesday reported a flat consolidated net profit of Rs 372.4 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 372 crore a year ago.
Revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,662 crore from Rs 2,918 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Jubilant Foodworks
Jubilant FoodWorks, operator of Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts, on Tuesday reported a 9.76 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 131.52 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 119.82 crore a year ago.
Revenue from operations during the quarter under review was at Rs 1,301.48 crore, up 16.6 per cent from Rs 1,116.18 crore in the corresponding previous period.
