Saket Burman has been elevated as the vice-chairman for five years, coterminous with Mohit Burman. A member of the fifth generation of founder promoters of the FMCG company, Mohit Burman was appointed as the vice-chairman in a non executive capacity, coinciding with the elevation of Amit Burman as the non executive chairman from July 19, 2019.

Amit Burman remains on the board as a non-executive director. Even as no reason was cited by Dabur for the change, it is said he was not keeping well health-wise for some time. Amit and Saket are also part of the fifth generation of the Dabur’s founding promoter family.

The management of the company rests with the professional leadership under Mohit Malhotra who is the whole-time director and CEO. Before Amit Burman, Anand Chand Burman was the chairman of the company for 12 years.

He was the first member of the fifth generation to have adorned the post.

Last month, Mohit Burman, who was also born in Calcutta, joined the board of city-based Eveready India Industries Ltd after becomingthe promoter of the dry cellbattery major.
