Mercedes-Benz India on Thursday announced an upward revision in the ex-showroom price of its model range, effective April 1. The price correction would be in the range of up to 5 per cent across the portfolio.
The depreciation of the rupee compared with the euro, combined with increased input cost, including for logistics, have been exerting significant pressure on the overall operational cost. A combination of these factors have prompted Mercedes-Benz India to raise prices.
While the company absorbs significant costs, some portion of the higher expenses will be passed on to the consumers in order to sustain a profitable business, the company said.
Prices of Mercedes-Benz cars will be revised by Rs 2 lakh for an A-Class limousine and GLA SUV, Rs 7 lakh for a top-end S 350d limousine to Rs 12 lakh for the topend Mercedes Maybach S 580 luxury limousine.
