Hospitality major Mariott International is planning to launch its select hotel band Moxy in India by 2024.
“Marriott has plans to launch the brand debut of Moxy in India with the anticipated openings of Moxy Bangalore Airport Prestige Tech Cloud and Moxy Mumbai Andheri West in 2024,” Marriott said in a statement.
Courtyard, Four Points, Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inn and Suites, Protea Hotels, Aloft Hotels are among the other select brands in the portfolio of Mariott. The other two categories where the hospitality major operates are Luxury with iconic brands such as Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, JW Mariott among others and Premium with brands such as Mariott, Sheraton, Westin, Le Meridien among others.
Marriott International is present in over 40 cities with 140 hotels across 16 brands in India. The company said it is focusing on advancing development in secondary and tertiary markets to attract both business and leisure visitors.
Marriott has launched its brands in Mussoorie, Pushkar, Mahabalipuram, Raipur, Siliguri, Bilaspur, and more recently in cities like Tiruchirappalli and Shillong where it was the first international brand to enter the market.
Marriott plans to expand its portfolio in key markets such as Jaipur, Corbett, Coorg, Shimla and Pahalgham.
“We have plans to be in more than 50 cities in the next two years, creating 10,000 new jobs,” said Mariott International president and CEO Anthony Capuano.
