Mahindra-backed Classic Legends brings 350 Jawa 42 FJ for eastern and north-eastern markets

Classic Legends, a motorcycle start-up launched in 2018 and backed by Mahindra, is expanding its portfolio in the mid-size segment with premium products.

The company, which has revived yesteryear brands such as the Yezdi, Jawa and BSA, launched the 350 Jawa 42 FJ for the eastern and north-eastern markets.

“We aim to gain higher sales in the premium motorcycles segment. Presently we are selling 4,000 to 5,000 units per month among the brands which the company owns. We aim at selling one lakh units per annum in the next 12 months,”said Anupam Thareja, oneof the co-founders of Classic Legends.

The 350 Jawa 42 FJ is the latest member of the Jawa 42 Life series. Building on the success of the 42 and 42 Bobber, the 350 Jawa 42 FJ is addressing the commuter segment of 350 ccbikes.

The company initiated the first set of deliveries of the new motorcycle by handing over the keys to the customers in the city.

Additionally, the company is looking at robust network expansion in Bengal to over 20 touchpoints by the end of this fiscal year from the present 13 in the region.

Making the consumer purchase journey completely digital and seamless, the brand has partnered Flipkart, marking a significant step in the premium motorcycle market in India.

The Jawa 42 FJ will retail at 2.02 lakh.
