“We are the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. We should also be the largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer globally. We should start exporting otherwise the international markets will be grabbed,” said the G20 Sherpa at the Ather Community Day 2024 event in Bengaluru on Saturday.

EV start-up Ather Energy organised its second edition of the annual customer engagement event where the start-up launched its family scooter, the Rizta, which will retail at a price range of Rs 1,09,999 to Rs 1,44,999.

“Today only 5 per cent of the two-wheeler market and 60 per cent of the three-wheeler market have transitioned to EVs. By 2030, 100 per cent of the markets should be EV markets,” said Kant.
