Immigration law firm Green and Spiegel expects a good response under Canada’s Startup Visa Programme with the government announcing its intent to welcome 1.45 million immigrants to the country between 2023 and 2025.
“Canada is seeking entrepreneurs to create jobs and help the economy. Start-up Visa programme is a federal government programme. It is all about inviting foreign innovation,” said Eren Sari, senior manager, business immigration and development, Green and Spiegel.
He was in the city to discuss various immigration programmes, benefits and processes in Canada.
The seminar was hosted by Sari and Mehmet Komorcu, senior partner at Dentons.
The event was organised by Imran Zaki, T.S. Walia, and Atul Chaturvedi.
Highlighting the benefits, Sari said if a start-up business fails to take off, under the programme it will not affect the permanent resident status of the founder.
