Hyundai Motor India Ltd has come out with no-production days this month at its Sriperumbudur facility in view of the prevailing market conditions.
According to the announcement on August 9 at the plant, the Korean auto major said, “Due to prevailing market conditions, there will be no production in passenger cars, powertrain system and related support departments.”
Accordingly, there was no production on August 10 and August 12 at the body shop, paints shop and the assembly shop in all the three shifts.
From August 9-21, there will be no production in engine shop-1, while engine shop 2 will be closed on August 10, August 24 and August 31.
A Hyundai Motor India spokesperson said the auto industry was going through “unprecedented times of fluctuating market demands”.
