City-based waste management company Hulladek Recycling, which recycles waste for corporate giants such as Mondelez International, Hindustan Unilever and IndusInd Bank, has set its sight on a turnover of ₹80 crore by 2029-30.
The company has taken one-third stake in PWL Ventures in Jaipur to establish a recycling unit for electronic, plastic and battery waste, which is expected to be operational by end of 2024.
The company now operates in 25 states and is looking to further expand its presence in south and western India. In the past 10 years, the company has collected 25 million kg of waste from industries, educational institutes, government bodies and households. In FY24, it had clocked a revenue of ₹11.96 crore.
“We would be opening our collection centres and have franchisee partners in every state by 2030. During this period, we would be establishing over 10 material recovery facilities in the country and also aim to collect and channelise 50 million kg of electronic, plastic and battery waste. We have earmarked an investment of ₹10 crore towards our expansion drive in the coming 6 years,” said Nandan Mall, founder and CMD, Hulladek Recycling.
“We have collaborated with Umicore, a Belgium-based global recycling company for collecting and channelising catalytic converters, diversified into battery waste, both lead acid and lithium ion batteries, expanded our warehousing facilities and geographical boundaries,” he said.
The company is also optimistic of recycling of critical minerals after the announcement of setting up of a critical mineral mission for domestic production, recycling of critical minerals, and overseas acquisition of critical mineral assets in the budget.
